Fast Track to Mars

To reach Mars, the fast track is a career in Aerospace at USA. Complete a graduate degree/PhD and join one of the many Space companies for skill building. SpaceX is the best choice to go fast, you have to be extremely dedicated to become the best person to chose to reach Mars. Europe has opportunities, but it is constrained to research studies via satellites and robots. It does not have and nned the vision for Human exploration.
